— Says The Tribunal Only Affirmed The Will Of Rivers People
The chairman of Emohua local government area, Hon. Dr Chidi Lloyd, DSSRS has congratulated Rivers State Governor, H.E Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS on his resounding victory at the Rivers State governorship election petition tribunal which dismissed the petitions challenging his election and simultaneously upheld his victory as the duly elected Governor of Rivers State.
The council chairman also congratulated all National and State House of Assembly Members across Rivers State on their well-deserved victory at the election petition tribunal, which upheld their electoral victories, describing the outcome of the tribunal rulings as an affirmation of the will of the people of Rivers State.
Dr Lloyd who was a guest on ‘Inside Rivers’ with O’ Square and Ada-Eze; a news and current affairs radio program airing on Love 97.7 FM Portharcourt on Wednesday, where he spoke on topical issues, including the tribunal rulings said, the outcome of the Rivers State governorship election petition tribunal which sat in Abuja didn’t come as a surprise to the people of Rivers State, especially the electorates across Emohua local government area who turned out en masse to cast their votes for Gov Siminalayi Fubara and other PDP candidates in the 2023 general elections across the polling units in the area.
He said there was no other political party in Rivers State at the time of the election, hence the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) won convincingly and overwhelming across the state, stressing that it was only proper for the election petition tribunal to affirm what actually transpired across the polling units in the state during the elections.
He commended the Governor of Rivers State, H.E Sir Siminalayi Fubara for acknowledging the place of God in his victory by going to Him in thanksgiving at the Government House chapel immediately after the tribunal judgement.
Dr. Lloyd who also witnessed the ruling of the Rivers State governorship election petition tribunal which affirmed Gov Sim Fubara’s victory, appreciated the immediate past Governor of Rivers State and Honorable Minister of the FCT, Chief Nyesom Wike GSSRS for his show of solidarity and patriotism, as he led a high powered delegation from Rivers State to witness the tribunal judgement in Abuja
