— Reiterates Unalloyed Loyalty And Support To Nyesom Wike

On Wednesday, the people of Emohua local government area of Rivers State reiterated their support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, stating that the President has so far exhibited unparalleled patriotism in governance and the recalibration of the nation’s economy.

The people stated this at an extraordinary stakeholders meeting held at the Emohua local government council secretariat complex.

The stakeholders also expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for appointing the immediate past governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, as FCT Minister, making him the first southerner to occupy the position.

The chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr. Chidi Lloyd, said in his address at the stakeholders meeting that the people of the area convened the stakeholder meeting to renew their commitment to the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration while appreciating the president for the appointment of the immediate past governor of Rivers State, H.E. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, as F.C.T. Minister.

“We’re here to renew our commitment to Mr. President’s Renewed Hope Agenda and thank him for appointing our leader, the leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Chief Hon. Barr Ezenwo Nyesom Wike. For finding him worthy to be appointed as the first Southerner to sit as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.

“This position used to be the exclusive right of our brothers from the north, but today a southerner sits there, and what he is doing is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf.

“We’re also thanking our leader for showcasing what he is, the way he led us for eight years in Rivers State, where the state witnessed unprecedented infrastructural development. This he has also taken to Abuja, and everyone agrees that the FCT is currently witnessing massive infrastructural development.”

Recounting the number of critical infrastructure projects undertaken by the Rivers State Government across Emohua LGA under the administration of Fmr. Gov Nyesom Wike, Dr. Lloyd reaffirmed the loyalty and commitment of the people of the area to the leadership of the FCT Minister, in reciprocation of his show of love and compassion to the people during his administration as governor.

“Nyesom Wike has made us proud, therefore, we reaffirm our loyalty and commitment to him, the Minister of F.C.T. Wherever he goes, we will go with him, his God shall be our God”.

Former chief of staff at Rivers State Government House, Chief Emeka Woke, said the gathering was a stakeholders meeting and not a general assembly of the people of Emohua LGA, hence, attendance was based on invitation.

He also declared that the meeting was not a political gathering but an assembly of critical stakeholders across all walks of life in Emohua local government area and wondered why some people were threatened by the notice of the meeting and attempted to discourage invited stakeholders from attending the meeting.

He reassured me that when it was time for politics, the winning tradition of the people of Emohua LGA was going to be consolidated.

“It’s not time for politicking, when the time for politicking comes, we will know the owners of Emohua local government area. They will not see even one person to call.

“We have done it before, and we will do it over and over again.”

The former chief of staff to former governor Nyesom Wike also frowned at the attempt by some political actors in Rivers State to malign the person of the FCT Minister and create disaffection between him and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He called on the people of Emohua LGA to continue to support the administration of President Bola Tinubu and the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

The member representing Emohua state constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Justina Emeji, while reiterating her unalloyed loyalty and commitment to the leadership of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike , encouraged her constituents to continue to stand firm and resolute behind the FCT Minister and President Bola Tinubu.

Speaking on the sidelines of the stakeholders meeting, the caretaker committee chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Emohua LGA, Dr. Jim Morrison, commended the chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr. Chidi Lloyd, for ensuring the success of the meeting.

He reassured that the winning machineries of the PDP in Emohua LGA were still very much intact, but noted that it was not yet the electioneering period to have them activated, as he reiterated the unalloyed loyalty and commitment of the leadership of the Emohua LGA to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.

The highlight of the stakeholders meeting was the adoption of a communique reached and signed by critical stakeholders, including political leaders across divides, traditional rulers, religious leaders, chiefs, women leaders and youth leaders.

Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
