–Warns Against Financial Gratification and Contravention
The chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr Chidi Lloyd has approved the reconstitution of the local government taskforce on illegal oil bunkering.
The council chairman in a statement through his chief press secretary, Bright Jossy Elendu announced the appointment of Mr Goddey Mike as the new chairman of the taskforce.
According to the statement, Dr Lloyd also approved the reappointment of former members of the taskforce.
The statement directed the new chairman and the recalled members of the taskforce to work in synergy with security agencies and the local government vigilante services (EMOVIS) to checkmate the activities of illegal oil bunkers within Emohua local government area.
The council chairman in the statement further warned members of the reconstituted taskforce against financial gratification and other acts that contravenes the law establishing the taskforce, stressing that any one found culpable will be visited with the full weight of the law.
