Work has commenced in earnest at the proposed site for the construction of Akpabu Braithwaite Water Project recently approved by the administration of Dr. Chidi Lloyd, to reticulate potable water across Akpabu community (ward 10) Emohua LGA.
The project which is in line with Emohua local government rural water supply programme envisioned by the administration of Dr. Chidi Lloyd, is also expected to be extended to other parts of the local government area in phases, with a view to providing potable water for residents of the area.
The approval for the Akpabu water reticulation project followed the dilapidation of the only public water scheme in the community, which was donated by Dr. Chidi Lloyd during his tenure in the State Assembly.
The council chairman has directed the contractor handling the project to intensify efforts to ensure that the issue of water supply in the community is addressed as soon as possible.
