Ahead of the commissioning of the Rumuodogo 1 and 2 link roads in Odegu, Emohua LGA, conceived and completed by the Rivers State government under the administration of Gov. Nyesom Wike, scheduled to hold tomorrow, Thursday, December 1, 2022, the chairman of Emohua LGA, Dr Chidi Lloyd, visited the proposed venue for the event, to ascertain the level of preparation for the project commissioning.
The council chairman, who was accompanied by the state commissioner of environment, Barr. Emenike Geoffrey-Eke, and the PDP chairman in Emohua LGA, Hon. Uche Minikwu, at the proposed venue of the event, mobilized youths of the area to facilitate the preparation work for the ceremony.
Dr Lloyd, who was later joined by the Rivers State Government protocol team, also paid homage to the paramount ruler of the Rumuodogo community, Ohna Michael Uchegbulem, where the council chairman and his entourage interfaced with the leadership of the community ahead of the commissioning ceremony, amid cheering welcome gifts by youths and women of Rumuodogo community who were visibly eulogizing Gov. Nyesom Wike in songs, in demonstration of their appreciation for the Governor’s kindness to the community.
The immediate past leader of the Emohua legislative assembly, Hon. John Ibuchim Douglas and other leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the community also joined the council chairman during the inspection.
