— Acknowledges Their Contribution To His Administration’s Achievements
As Governments and Organizations across the world mark this year’s workers day celebration in recognition of the efforts of workers to the development of society, the chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Dr Chidi Lloyd has congratulated workers in the LGA and across the world on the occasion of the 2023 May Day Celebration.
Dr. Lloyd in a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Bright Jossy-Elendu said, The 2023 May Day Celebration provides another opportunity to recognize and appreciate the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices made by workers in Emohua LGA and across the world to the overall development of the society.
Dr Chidi Lloyd is proud of Emohua workers and recognizes their significant contribution to the achievements recorded in the LGA under his administration.
The council chairman acknowledges the critical role of workers in the development of Emohua LGA and assures that their sacrifices will not be in vain.
Emohua Local Government Area is making tremendous progress today especially in the area of infrastructure development because of the contribution of our workforce in various sectors.
Amid the meagre resources available to the local government council, our administration has been able to change the narrative about the LGA because of the cordial relationship between the government and the council workers, and our workers have also remained committed to their work.
1. Two (2) out of the four (4) road projects conceived and constructed simultaneously across Emohua LGA by our administration are already completed and in use at Eveku and Rundele Communities, while the other two at Akpabu and Ubimini communities are receiving attention according to the resources available to the council.
2. Today we have a functional Primary Healthcare Center ( Cottage Hospital) which is considered to be the best of its kind, a cold chain already completed and the Doctor’s Residential Building and Staff offices already nearing completion, all conceived and executed by our administration to improve the working condition of our health workers.
3. A council chapel and marriage registry built and furnished within one year of our administration is already functional at the council secretariat.
4. A 20,000-litre Braithwaite water scheme conceptualized by our administration to reticulate portable water to all departments and establishments within and around the council secretariat is already in use.
5. After 30 years of the existence of Emohua LGA, we were able to attract the first-ever ATM gallery to the LGA within one year of our administration and never again will our workers face the difficulty of travelling to nearby towns for their financial transactions.
6. Today we enjoy the services of an Ultramodern Staff Canteen, a modern convenience and improved power supply in the council because of our commitment to the welfare of our workers.
7. The construction of the local government secretariat building which is supposed to provide office spaces for our very populated workforce but was abandoned by successive administrations, is undergoing completed by our administration.
8. The construction of a 500 seater Pavilion (Mini Stadium) to provide a meeting place for our workers and other gatherings of a crowd of people in the council; The construction of a 350 capacity ICT studio, as well as the reconstruction and remodelling of the local government legislative assembly complex to provide a comfortable working environment for councillors and the legislative staff of the council are also making appreciable progress within the council headquarters.
These and many more infrastructure projects undertaken simultaneously across Emohua LGA by our administration wouldn’t have been made possible without the support of our workers.
We look forward to a more harmonious relationship and improved working conditions in our local government council with the continued support of our workers.
