The chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr Chidi Lloyd has described the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike as the driving force behind the achievements of his administration within one hundred days in office.
Dr Lloyd said his administration is taking a cue from what the governor is doing in Rivers State to also ensure that the people feel the impact of government at the LGA level.
The council chairman stated these while speaking with journalists in his office at the local government headquarters on Wednesday.
He thanked the governor of Rivers State for the number of people oriented projects being executed across Emohua local government area by the state government, stating that the local government area never had it so good in terms of project distribution in the state.
Speaking further, the council chairman stated that Governor Nyesom Wike has redefined governance in the state with unprecedented infrastructural development and effective leadership devoid of political sentiment.
Dr Lloyd said the people of Emohua local government area will remain grateful to the governor for siting critical infrastructural projects in the area, describing the ongoing construction of the Emohua campus of the Rivers State University, Rumuodogo road, the Ogbakiri internal road, Mgbuitanwo community road, Akpabu – Omudioga – Egbeda link road and the construction of the bridge linking Emohua LGA and Abua-Odual LGA through Rundele as key projects that will improve the living standard of the people of Emohua local government area.
Reiterating his administration’s commitment to reposition Emohua local government area, Dr Chidi Lloyd said the infrastructural revolution witnessed in the area within his first one hundred days in office was the beginning of many more developmental projects lined up for implementation by his administration.
The council chairman further thanked the people of the area for the overwhelming support given to his administration within the first one hundred days in office and promised to always reciprocate the gesture by carrying the people along in the policies and programs of his administration.
