The pictorial evidence of the progress of work at the ongoing construction of the first-ever commercial bank building in the entire Emohua LGA since the creation of the LGA in 1991.
This is one of the numerous infrastructure projects undertaken simultaneously by the administration of Dr. Chidi Lloyd, as part of the ongoing transformation at the local government council headquarters.
The bank building conceived and constructed by the administration of Dr. Chidi Lloyd is upon completion expected to be leased to a reputable financial institution for effective banking operation.
32 years after the creation of Emohua LGA, residents and business operators in the area, as well as staff of the local government still travelled to the University of PortHarcourt in nearby Choba community, in neighbouring Obio-Akpor LGA which is about 2 kilometres away from Emohua council headquarters for financial transactions, a situation that had over the years kept Emohua LGA backwards in the comity of LGAs in Rivers State.
The conception of the commercial bank building is in line with Dr Chidi Lloyd’s commitment to improving the socio-economic status of the LGA, with a view to enhancing the living standard of the people of the area.
Recall also that the administration of Dr. Chidi Lloyd had within one year conceived and completed the first-ever ATM gallery in the LGA operated by the Titan Trust Bank, which is already dispensing Naira notes at the council headquarters
