The chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr Chidi Lloyd has inaugurated the newly appointed caretaker committee of Elele-Alimini youth congress.
Performing the inauguration on Saturday, Dr Chidi Lloyd charged members of the committee to use their position to advocate for peace and development in Elele-Alimini, rather than hiding under the guise of the youth body to sabotage his administration’s effort to reposition Emohua local government area.
The council chairman said the newly inaugurated caretaker committee of Elele-Alimini youth congress which has a renewable three months tenure is expected to work in synergy with other organs of the community, the security agencies and the local government vigilante services to sustain the already existing peace and security in Elele-Alimini, in line with the vision of the local government council administration.
Those inaugurated are:
- Chimele Assormeji — Chairman
- Joseph Elenwo — Secretary
- Uche Agi — P.R.O
- Collins Agumagu — Member
- Celestine Okachi — Member
According to the council chairman; the appointment of the caretaker committee became necessary following a subsisting ban on youth elections in Rivers State by the state government.
