As the administration of Dr. Chidi Lloyd in Emohua continues to make news headlines for its deliberate effort to reposition the local government area within the past one year, the council chairman on Wednesday unveiled the new security architecture of the LGA christened; ‘Emohua local government vigilante services (EMOVIS)’ with a brand new secretariat building for the security outfit.
As part of activities marking the one year anniversary of the council chairman, the Rivers State commissioner of police, CP Friday Eboka on the invitation of the council chairman, commissioned the vigilante secretariat.
The Rivers CP represented by CSP Nnaemaka Didi also inaugurated the security outfit, amidst the presence of heads of sister security agencies, traditional rulers, political leaders, youth groups and officials of Emohua local government council.
The ceremony also featured the inauguration of an advisory committee for the local government vigilante services and the presentation of a patrol vehicle to the vigilante commander, ASP Godwin IKenga (Rtd.) by the council chairman, Hon Chidi Lloyd , as well as the presentation of certificate of training to members of the vigilante services by Chief Paul Wokhe Wonodi.
