Emohua local government council headquarters was agog on Friday, as the council chairman, Dr. Chidi Lloyd again wrote his name on the sands of time, with the invitation of the deputy governor of Rivers State, H.E, Dr. Mrs Ipalibo Harry Banigo for the commissioning the Emohua local government primary healthcare center conceptualized and actualized in less than one year of his administration.
The commission ceremony, one of the activities marking the one year anniversary of the council chairman also featured the inauguration of the wards primary healthcare management committees by the representative of the deputy governor and permanent secretary of the Rivers State primary healthcare management board, Dr. Agiriye M. Harry, amidst eulogies goodwill messages from Prof. Chituru Orluwene and Prof. Aaron Ojule, both professors of medical sciences from Emohua LGA.
The well attended event also had the presence of the wife of the chairman of Emohua LGA, Lady Adanma Chidi-Lloyd, Mayor of PortHarcourt, Sir Allwell Ihunda, Vice Chairman of Emohua LGA, Mrs Edna Nyeche and forum of vice chairmen in Rivers State, leader of Emohua local government legislative council, Mrs Love Nyenke and the councillors, Eze Paul Wonodi and members of Emolga PDP caucus, Chief Emeh Glory Emeh, Prof. Okey Onuchukwu, Dame Dr. Victoria Sergeant-Awuse, Mrs Grace Emeka-Woke, Eze Justina Emeji , chairman of PDP in Emohua LGA, Prince Uche Minikwu and the LGA executives of the party, Traditional rulers, religious leaders and management of Emohua local government council, amongst other very respected guests.
The four wards cottage hospital is expected to provide professional medical services for residents of Emohua and its environs, who before this time, travelled to neighboring Obio-Akpor and Ahoada-East LGAs to seek medical solutions, due to the absence of a functional hospital in the area.
