— As Emohua PDP Inaugurates Campaign Committee
The chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr Chidi Lloyd has called for the collective support and cooperation of leaders and members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the local government area to ensure that candidates of the party in Rivers State are returned elected across the 14 political wards in the area in the 2023 general election.
He said the PDP in Emohua LGA does not actually have any strong rival in the forthcoming general election but maintained that the party must collectively guard against the machinations of members of the already depleted opposition political parties, who are not actually going into the elections to win but to play the spoiler game for the PDP.
Dr Lloyd made the assertion at the inauguration of the PDP campaign council in Emohua LGA held at the LGA party secretariat in Rumuji town, Emohua LGA on Tuesday.
He said the PDP in Emohua LGA cannot afford to lose any ward in the LGA to any other political party, considering the number of projects executed in the area by PDP-led state and local governments.
He added that the people of Emohua LGA are poised to deliver all PDP candidates in Rivers State across the 14 political wards in the area while waiting for further directives on the position of Rivers State in the presidential election.
The council chairman who also doubles as the Director General (DG) of the PDP campaign committee in Emohua LGA enjoined the party faithful to remain consistent and persistent in the programs and activities of the party with a positive attitude and hope for future reward, stressing that there is a reward for genuine hard work in politics.

Speaking further, Dr Lloyd congratulated the recently appointed Constituency and Ward Liaison Officers, as well as the Unit Special Assistants to Rivers State governor from Emohua LGA and urged them to be good ambassadors of the people of the area.
He disclosed that his administration was already considering a continuation of its empowerment programme, to accommodate genuine supporters of PDP in the LGA who are yet to benefit from the local government empowerment programme.
The chairman of the PDP campaign committee and caucus leader of the party in Emohua LGA, Eze Paul Wokhe Wonodi, the chief of staff Rivers State Government House and alternate chairman of the campaign committee, Chief Engr. Emeka Woke and the state assembly member representing Emohua constituency, Hon Sam Ogeh all took turns to charge PDP supporters in the area to prepare to deliver all the party’s candidates in Rivers State in their respective polling units and wards in the 2023 general election.

He added that the achievements of the administration of Dr Chidi Lloyd within one year in Emohua LGA are also a clear testimony of the presence of the PDP in the area, stressing that the people will at the poll reciprocate the kind gesture to the party by ensuring that the party’s candidates in the state are all returned elected.
