CHIDI LLOYD EXPRESSES SATISFACTION WITH THE QUALITY OF WORK AT UBIMINI ROAD PROJECT

Embarks On Routine Inspection Of Infrastructure Projects Across Emohua LGA
The chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr. Chidi Lloyd, embarked on a routine inspection of infrastructure projects undertaken simultaneously across the area by his administration on Wednesday.
At the ongoing construction of the 1-kilometre Ubimini road with 2-kilometre drainage in Ubimini community (ward 12), where preparation for asphalt laying was being concluded, the chairman expressed satisfaction with the quality and progress of work and charged the local government works department to intensify efforts to ensure that the project is delivered within the stipulated time.
The Ubimini road project is the fourth in a series of community road projects conceived and executed across Emohua local government area by the administration of Dr. Chidi Lloyd.
From Ubimini, the council chairman made a brief stopover at the Elele-Alimini community (ward 9) for an on-the-spot assessment of the progress of work at the Elele-Alimini healthcare centre undertaken by Emohua local government.
The healthcare centre which was initiated by the immediate past administration headed by High Chief Tom Aliezi, is being remodelled and completed by the administration of Dr. Chidi Lloyd in furtherance of the infrastructure revolution witnessed across Emohua LGA under the present administration.
Dr. Lloyd also inspected the finishing works at the Emohua divisional police station conceived and executed by his administration opposite the Emohua campus of Rivers State University, along the Emohua-Kalabari road.
During the ongoing construction of the ultra-modern Egbeda divisional police station in Egbeda community (ward 11), Dr. Lloyd directed the council engineer to increase the workforce at the construction site for speedy implementation of the project.
Dr. Lloyd later retired to the council headquarters in Emohua, where he also inspected some of the projects already earmarked for commissioning in the coming days.
The projects inspected within the council headquarters include the already completed doctor’s residential building and office annexe for staff of Emohua local government primary healthcare authority; the 350-capacity ICT studio named after Chief Engr. Emeka Woke; and the local government warehouse (council store), all conceived and executed by the administration of Dr. Lloyd.
Dr. Lloyd also visited the ultramodern Emohua local government administrative building already nearing completion; the ongoing reconstruction and remodeling of the local government legislative assembly complex; the ongoing remodeling and completion of the local government council secretariat complex initiated by the administration of Hon. Allen Nma and abandoned by successive administrations; as well as the proposed commercial bank building, all situated within the local government headquarters, as part of the ongoing transformation of the council headquarters.
Also part of the transformation at the local government council headquarters is the ongoing construction of the council pavilion (mini stadium) named after the LGA ambassador, Miss Mary Ngozi Kekwaru, which is already nearing completion.
The ongoing transformation of the local government council headquarters as conceptualized by the administration of Dr. Chidi Lloyd is in line with the council chairman’s commitment towards repositioning the local government area, with a view to restoring the lost glory of the area, to compete favorably in the comity of local government areas in Nigeria.
The secretary of the local government council, Chief Vincent Chukwu, and other principal officers of the local government accompanied the council chairman during the project inspection.
