— Congratulates Kalabari Kingdom
The chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr Chidi Lloyd on Tuesday joined dignitaries from all walks of life to witness the official commissioning of the first phase of the Trans-Kalabari Road Project executed by the Rivers State Government under the administration of Gov Nyesom Wike.
The council chairman lauded the Governor of Rivers State, H.E Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for his unmatched developmental strides in Rivers State, describing the actualization of the first phase of the Trans-Kalabari Road Project as another landmark achievement of the Nyesom Wike-led Rivers State Government.
Dr Lloyd also congratulated the people of Kalabari kingdom who are the direct beneficiaries of the road project on yet another remarkable dividend of good governance, describing the completion of the project as a dream come true for the people of the area.
Phase one of the road project linking six Kalabari communities with bridges and concrete culverts was constructed by an indigenous construction company, Lubriks Construction LTD.
The much anticipated Trans-Kalabari Road is one of the signature projects of the administration of Gov Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and the fulfilment of the Governor’s campaign promise to the people of Kalabari kingdom.
Although successive administrations in Rivers State had promised to implement the project non was committed to awarding and funding the contract for the actualization of the project.
It took the sincerity and commitment of Gov Nyesom Wike to actualize the first phase of the project in his second term in furtherance of the infrastructure revolution witnessed across Rivers State under his administration.
The commissioning ceremony held in Degema local government area had the Governor of Oyo State, H.E Engr. Seyi Makinde was the special guest of honour who performed the inauguration of the newly constructed road.
The Governor-Elect of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara; PDP’s National Vice Chairman South-South, Chief Dan Orbih, The Paramount Ruler of Emohua kingdom, HRM Ohna Sergeant Awuse were amongst other dignitaries who accompanied Gov Nyesom Wike to the historic ceremony.
