RAIN OF EULOGY ON NYESOM WIKE, AS EMOHUA PDP HOLDS GRAND FINALE IN OGBAKIRI

— Dr Chidi Lloyd Calls For Massive Vote Cast For Rivers PDP Candidates

It was a rain of eulogy on the Governor of Rivers State, H.E Nyesom Ezenwo Wike in Ogbakiri as the Emohua LGA chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) concluded the ward-to-ward sensitization and mobilization of voters ahead of the forthcoming general elections with a combined rally in Okporowo -Ogbakakiri on Wednesday.

The combined rally organised by the Emohua LGA campaign council of the PDP for the two Electoral Wards in Ogbakiri (Ward 1 & 2) tagged ‘The Grand Finale’ was adjudged the best by the LGA campaign council in terms of mobilization.

The chairman of Emohua LGA and coordinator of the LGA campaign council, Dr Chidi Lloyd who announced the result at the joint rally in Okporowo -Ogbakakiri said he never expected anything less from the people of Ogbakiri, owing to the fact that the community would be producing the next representative of Emohua state constituency in the assembly.

” I am not surprised at the level of mobilization here, I can see how happy you are because your daughter is going to the assembly through the PDP.

“I want to declare the result of the rally, we have gone around the local government area and I think this is the best mobilisation but as I said, I’m not surprised.

“For us, we are not here to campaign but to thank God for the choice of Chief Justina Emeji to represent us in the assembly because we know she will win but we must ensure that we win convincingly.

“And to win convincingly we must ensure that we vote massively for Sir Siminalayi Fubara for Governor, Allwell Onyesoh for Senate, Boniface Emerengwa for Reps and your own Justina Emeji, Ada- Wezina for State House of Assembly.”

In their separate remarks, the Chief of Staff at Rivers State Government House, Chief Engr Chukwuemeka Woke and the member representing Emohua constituency in the state assembly, Hon Sam Ogeh listed some of the achievements and benefits of the PDP in Ogbakiri which include the construction of Ogbakiri internal roads which is already nearing completion and has provided access roads to some communities in the area where there were no tarred roads, as well as numerous human capital development and empowerment of indigenes of the area by the Nyesom Wike led Rivers State Government.

Chief Emeka Woke expressed optimism that the PDP will secure the pulling units across Ogbakiri communities, describing the visit to Ogbakiri as a thanksgiving rally.

He further urged the people of the area to be wary of deceitful politicians with inordinate ambition who would come to them at night with empty promises.

Hon Sam Ogeh reiterated the people’s preparedness for victory in the February 25 and March 11 general elections, in appreciation of their benefits from the PDP-led Rivers State government.

Chairman of PDP in Emohua LGA, Hon Uche Minikwu in his brief remark enjoined the people of Ogbakiri to take advantage of the forthcoming general elections to attract more developmental projects to the area by voting massively for candidates of the Rivers PDP.

Erstwhile chairman of Emohua LGA and PDP caucus leader, Eze Paul Wonodi who introduced the candidates for the election, urged electorates across the two wards in Ogbakiri to vote massively for the PDP candidates in the Governorship, National and State Assembly elections while waiting for further directive on the choice of Rivers State in the Presidential election.

Eze Paul Wonodi noted that the victory of the governorship candidate of the PDP, Sir Siminalayi Fubara would provide the opportunity to attract more dividends of good governance to Ogbakiri in particular and Emohua LGA at large, stressing that the victory of the Rivers PDP candidates is an assurance of continuity and consolidation of progress in the state.

Candidates for Ikwerre-Emohua Federal Constituency and Emohua state constituency seats; Hon Barr. Boniface Emerengwa and Chief Justina Emeji respectively appealed for massive support from the electorates, promising to offer quality and effective leadership and representation when elected into office.

Notable leaders of PDP in Ogbakiri who spoke at the rally include the Surveyor General of Rivers State and Permanent Secretary Ministry of Lands and Survey, Sir Nuel Elenwo; Deputy chairman of PDP in Emohua LGA, Hon Jim Morrison and Dr Sam Edeh

amongst others.

Earlier the LGA campaign train had visited the traditional institution in the community to seek their blessings and support before proceeding to the venue of the campaign rally.
