— Wike’s Chief Of Staff Berates Former Governor Amaechi For Neglecting His Maternal Hometown
Egbeda community (ward 11) in Emohua local government was confirmed to be fully mobilized to actualise the New Rivers Vision Consolidation project in the 2023 general election.
The chairman of Emohua local government area and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) campaign coordinator in the area, Dr Chidi Lloyd made the confirmation at a rally organised by the Emohua LGA PDP campaign council at State School 1 Egbeda, in continuation of the ward to ward sensitization and mobilization of voters across the 14 political wards in Emohua LGA ahead of the general election.
Dr Lloyd who commended the leader of the PDP in the Egbeda community, Hon David Omereji for his sacrifices to ensure that Egbeda remained a PDP stronghold, described the level of mobilization at the sensitization rally as an affirmation of the people’s preparedness for the victory of Sir Siminalayi Fubara and other Rivers PDP candidates in the 2023 general election.
The council chairman encouraged the people of the Egbeda community to rally around David Omereji to secure the completion of the Egbeda internal roads project recently approved by Governor Nyesom Wike by electing Sir Siminalayi Fubara to complement the effort of the Nyesom Wike-led administration.
The leader of PDP in Egbeda (ward 11) Emohua LGA, Hon David Omereji while addressing the mammoth crowd at the sensitization rally declared that there’s no other political party in the Egbeda community.
He said the people of Egbeda are standing strong with Governor Nyesom Wike who was recently adopted by the people of Egbeda as a son of the community, stressing that the community will only recognize those who have recognized them.
David Omereji who described the election of the governorship candidate of the PDP in Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara as a project that already enjoys the endorsement of the people of Egbeda community, urged the leadership of the PDP in Emohua LGA to be rest assured of total victory in the community in the general elections.
Erstwhile chairman of Emohua LGA and leader of the PDP caucus in the area, Eze Paul Wonodi while commending the people of Egbeda for their massive support for the PDP, lauded Hon David Omereji for investing his personal resources to keep the party growing in Egbeda community, stressing that the community has a bright future in the PDP.
Paul Wonodi urged the people of the Egbeda community to resist the deliberate attempt by deceptive politicians to provoke the Rivers State government to cancel the community’s internal roads project approved by Governor Nyesom Wike.
Meanwhile, the chief of staff at Rivers State Government House, Chief Engr Chukwuemeka Woke has berated former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi for neglecting the Egbeda community; his maternal hometown when he had all the opportunity to attract development to the community.
Chief Emeka Woke while recounting the number of public offices previously occupied by former governor Rotimi Amaechi since the return of Democracy in Nigeria in 1999, wondered why the former governor who was the speaker for 8 years, Governor for 8 years and federal minister for 7 years but refused to attract development to his mother’s homestead after 23 years in a position of trust, suddenly realized that there’s a community called Egbeda after Gov Nyesom Wike had signed a contract for the construction of Egbeda internal roads.
The two-term former chairman of Emohua LGA noted that those who went to take the measurement of roads in Egbeda after Governor Nyesom Wike had signed the contract for the construction of the internal roads in the community were only trying to provoke the Governor to cancel the project, urged the people of Egbeda community not to allow deceitful politicians to frustrate the internal road project.
He further encouraged the people of the area to use their PVCs to punish those who neglected them when they held positions in government in the 2023 general election.
The member representing Ikwerre-Emohua Federal Constituency, Barr Boniface Emerengwa who is seeking re-election to the national assembly and the chairman of PDP in Emohua LGA, Hon Uche Minikwu were amongst prominent leaders of the PDP in Emohua LGA who attended the sensitization rally.
Earlier the Emohua PDP campaign train paid homage to the paramount ruler of the Egbeda community, HRH Eze C.N Didia to formally announce their presence in the community and also seek his royal blessing before proceeding to the venue of the sensitization rally.
