— As Emohua PDP Kick-Starts Ward To Ward Sensitization And Mobilization Of Voters
The chairman of Emohua LGA and Director General (DG) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) campaign council in the LGA, Dr Chidi Lloyd has assured that the people of ward 10 ( Omudioga, Akpabu and Itu) in Emohua LGA are determined to deliver all the candidates of the PDP in Rivers State in the 2023 general election.
He said the only way to appreciate Gov Nyesom Wike and the PDP in Rivers State for the unimaginable infrastructure development sited in the ward by the PDP-led Rivers State government is to deliver the candidates of the party in the state in the forthcoming general election, to consolidate on the achievements of the Wike led administration in Rivers State.
Dr Lloyd gave the assurance when the Emohua LGA PDP campaign council visited ward 10, comprising Omudioga, Akpabu and Itu communities in Emohua LGA to kick-start its ward-to-ward sensitization and mobilization of voters ahead of the 2023 general election on Tuesday.
The council chairman while enumerating the footprints of the Nyesom Wike-led Rivers State government in the area, stated that the people of the area never had it so good under any other administration in Rivers State, stressing that the people cannot thank the state governor and the party enough for the dividends of good governance witnessed in the area.
Speaking at the Akpabu community when the campaign train made a brief stopover at the community, Dr Chidi Lloyd reiterated his gratitude to the leadership of the PDP in Emohua LGA for entrusting him with the local government council a few months after his return to the party, promised to ensure that all the polling units in the community are secured for the Governorship candidate, national and state assembly candidates of PDP in Rivers State in line with the directive of the governor and political leader of the state, H.E Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
In their separate remarks, the chairman of the PDP in Emohua LGA, Hon Uche Minikwu; Leader of the caucus, Eze Paul Wonodi and member representing Emohua constituency in the state assembly, Hon Sam Ogeh charged the people of Omudioga, Akpabu and Itu to take advantage of the forthcoming general election to appreciate Governor Nyesom Wike and the PDP for the love shown them through project distribution and political recognition by ensuring that candidates of the party are returned elected across the polling units in the area.
Eze Paul Wonodi while addressing the mammoth crowd who turned out to receive the LGA campaign train in Omudioga, urged the people not to be deceived by politicians with inordinate ambition who never remembered the community when they were in power, only to visit the community close to the election with unrealizable promises.
The PDP candidate for the Ikwerre-Emohua Federal Constituency seat, Barr Boniface Emerengwa and the State Assembly candidate for the Emohua constituency seat, Hon Justina Emeji were introduced to the electorates at the different venues of the sensitization rally, separately promised not to take the people for granted when elected into office.
While Hon B.S Emerengwa who is seeking re-election said he was going to improve on his legacies if and when re-elected, Eze Justina Emeji who is seeking election for the first time assured the people of effective representation, especially for the women of the area if elected into office.
The day 1 of the ward-to-ward sensitization and mobilization the Chief of Staff Rivers State Government House, Chief Engr Chukwuemeka Woke and the immediate past chairman of Emohua LGA, High Chief Tom Aliezi on the train which moved through Akpabu to Itu and terminated at Omudioga, amid a large crowd of supporters of the People’s Democratic Party on the ground to receive the campaign council.
Some of the prominent leaders of the PDP on the campaign train include former commissioners, Hon Chinedu Tasie Nwobueze (Housing); Hon Charles Beke (Commerce and Industry) and Hon Arthur Uchendu (Assembly Service Commission).
Others are the vice chairman of Emohua LGA, Hon Mrs Edna Nyeche, former caretaker committee chairmen of Emohua LGA; Hon John Wokoma and Chief Azundah Nkomadu, the Rivers State Youth leader of the PDP, Hon Ikpechi Oriji and the leader of Emohua legislative council, Hon Mrs Love Nyenke.
The LGA campaign train is expected to visit Ward 9 ( Elele-Alimini) on Wednesday, 1st February 2023.
