Birth:

Chief Hon. Barr. Chidi Julius Lloyd ,Ph.D , a charismatic catholic knight, was born on a new year day of 1st January 1972, as the first child of Late Mr Lloyd Amadioha (father) and Madam Martha Lloyd Amadioha; Nee Ordu (Mother), of Akpabu community in Emohua local government area, Rivers State

Education:

Chidi Lloyd attended State School Eligbo-Ahoada (1977 – 1983), where he passed out with distinction and proceeded to Government Secondary School Emohua (GSS EMOHUA).

Despite financial challenges occasioned by the demise of his father at his very tender age, Chidi Lloyd passed out with flying colours from GSS EMOHUA about the year 1988.

Upon the limitations placed on him by his father’s early demise, Chidi Lloyd decided to venture into the Rivers State college of Education; what is now known as the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, where school fees in those days were regarded as relatively cheaper than the main universities, where he eventually finished his NCE program in English/French ,with commendable high grades.

He proceeded to his full degree program in the same  Rivers State college of Education, in same English/French course and later came out tops in his department as the best graduating student thereat, with an enviable 2nd class upper degree garnered by him.

In a bid to actualize his dream of becoming an academician in the first place, Chidi Lloyd now has an array of intimidating credentials in academic kitty, possessing the following; NCE, B.Ed (RSCOE)  LLB, (RSUST), BL, LLM (RSUST), LLM (DUNDEE), Ph.D (CALABAR), MCIArb (UK).

In living up to his research obligation, Chidi Lloyd has published a number of his research works in both National and International journals.  His most recent publication tittled;  “THE GREENTREE AGREEMENT BETWEEN NIGERIA AND CAMEROUN” is widely commended, especially in the legal circle.

DR Chidi Lloyd has a teaching seat in the department of private and public law at the the prestigious University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus.

Politics and Public Office:

Hon Chidi Lloyd, a founding member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP ) was first elected into the Rivers State House of Assembly in 2003 on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), where he represented Emohua constituency at the Assembly for three consecutive terms. He was later elected the leader of the 8th Rivers State House of Assembly, from where he influenced and attracted the littering of projects by the Rivers State Government in different parts of his Constituency (Emohua LGA) , including; Wezina Community Market at Ogbakiri, Ubimini Primary School and Ubimini Health Centre, Akpabu Health Centre, Egbeda-Ubimini-Awara Road Project, and the primary schools built in different parts of Emohua LGA during former governor Rotimi Amaechi’s tenure.

In less than two years to the end of his third term in the Rivers State House of Assembly and ahead of the 2015 general election, Dr Chidi Lloyd was amongst the very few notable politicians who were smooth-talked into leaving the PDP for the APC.

After a few years in the APC, Chidi Lloyd realised that he was in a very wrong ship built on manifest falsehood and corruption, with complete disregard for human lives.

Realising that he was in a political party that is assumed to be anti-people and against the interest of Rivers State and her people, Dr Chidi Lloyd decided to do a political detour back to his original political family, the PDP on 24th August 2020.

Dr Chidi Lloyd emerged the chairman of Emohua local government area after scoring the highest number of votes in the April 17th 2021 local government council election conducted across the 23 local government areas of Rivers State by the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commision (RISIEC)a ND was sworn in as the executive chairman of Emohua local government area on the 17th June 2021 by the governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike .

Dr Chidi Lloyd is married to Mrs Adanma Divine Chidi Lloyd.
