As the Chairman of Emohua LGA, Dr. Chidi Lloyd continues to attract commendations for his visionary leadership and prudent management of the resources of the local government, stakeholders from the Ogbakiri (Wezina) Clan have expressed gratitude to the council chairman for the intervention work done on Emohua-Ogbakiri road by Emohua Local Government Council under his watch.
The stakeholders, under the auspices of the Ogbakiri (Wezina) Elites and Stakeholders Forum, during a visit to Dr. Lloyd on Thursday, commended the council chairman for the grading of the shoulders of the road and the remedial work on the dilapidated sections of the road, which serves as the gateway to all the communities in the Ogbakiri clan.
The delegation led by former caretaker committee chairman of Emohua Local Government Council, Eze Paul Wokhe Wonodi, noted that the intervention work on the road had reduced the difficulty faced by the people of the area and provided easy access to the communities, especially during the yuletide period.
In a letter titled ‘Appreciation For The Overall Success Of The Remedial Work On Emohua-Ogbakiri Road, signed by its convener, Barr C.O. Nmehielle, the forum prayed to God to continue to use Dr. Lloyd to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people, even at higher levels of public office.
Dr. Lloyd, in his response, thanked the delegation for their show of gratitude, which he never expected.
He said the intervention work on the Emohua-Ogbakiri road became necessary because of the difficulty faced by the people, occasioned by the sorry state of the road, pending the commencement of reconstruction work on the road as approved by the immediate past administration in Rivers State led by H.E. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
He also thanked the people of Ogbakiri for their support of his administration, promising to continue to collaborate with stakeholders across the communities to attract more government presence to the area.
