As Fubara Ohaka Lauds Emohua Council Chairman’s Sterling Performance In Two Years
In what could be best described as a long-awaited reunion between estranged brothers and political leaders, the chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr. Chidi Lloyd, on Friday reunited with the leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ibaa community (ward 6) in Emohua LGA, Chief Fubara Ohaka.
Dr. Lloyd and Chief Ohaka have over the years enjoyed a very cordial relationship before a political disagreement recently set them apart.
The two political leaders were at the palace of the paramount ruler of Ovuawhu (Ibaa/Obelle), HRH Eze Dr. Sunday Jonah Wobodo in the Ibaa community, Emohua LGA, to formally reconcile their differences and forge a new path in the interest of peace and development in Emohua LGA.
According to Dr. Chidi Lloyd, the reconciliation is aimed at strengthening the relationship between the two political leaders to advance development in the local government area.
The council chairman, who is also a recognized chief in Ibaa community, enjoined Chief Fubara Ohaka and his political family to join hands with his administration to sustain the prevalent peace and security in the area and attract more government presence in the area.
Chief Fubara Ohaka, while expressing gratitude to Dr. Lloyd for approving the construction of the Omkpova-Mgbere road in Ibaa community, where construction work is already at an advanced stage, lauded the council chairman’s developmental strides across Emohua local government area within two years of his administration, stressing that the council chairman has within a short time in office changed the narrative about the local government area.
The Ibaa APC leader, while declaring his support for the administration of Dr. Chidi Lloyd and the new narrative in Emohua LGA, assured that his political family, which cuts across Emohua LGA, had already resolved to partner with the council chairman to further promote peace and security in the area for the overall development of the LGA.
In his remarks, the paramount ruler of Uvuawhu, HRH Eze Sunday Wobodo Jonah, commended the two political leaders for honoring his invitation and agreeing to reconcile their differences and join hands for the peace and progress of Emohua LGA.
The paramount ruler also commended Dr. Lloyd for registering his administration’s presence in the Ibaa community with the ongoing construction of the 1-kilometer Omkpova-Mgbere road, now renamed after Elder Chinedu Tasie, which is the fifth in the series of community road projects undertaken simultaneously across Emohua LGA by the administration of Dr. Chidi Lloyd.
The peace and reconciliation meeting was witnessed by chiefs, elders, and youths of the Ibaa community, who were visibly joyous over the reunion between the two leaders.
Fubara Ohaka later joined the Emohua council boss on an unscheduled inspection of some ongoing projects within the Emohua local government council, where he expressed satisfaction with the transformation of the council headquarters as conceptualized by Dr. Lloyd.
