The chairman of Emohua local government area, Hon Chidi Lloyd over the weekend embarked on an unscheduled visit to some of the projects undertaken by the local government, to ascertain the progress of work and enforce compliance with specifications and delivery.
Some of the project sites visited include the construction of the 1 Kilometer Elder Chinedu Tasie Street (former Omkpova-Mgbere road) in Ibaa community; the Emohua Divisional Police Headquarters opposite the Emohua campus of the Rivers State University along Emohua-Kalabari road, as well as the Bank Building project situated at the local government council headquarters in Emohua.
Other project sites visited within the local government council headquarters include the reconstruction and remodeling of the Emohua Local Government Legislative Assembly Complex; the Emohua Local Government Administrative Building, the Council Store (Warehouse), the Council Pavilion (Mini Stadium) and the completion of the Local Government Council Secretariat Building abandoned by successive administrations.
Dr. Lloyd also inspected the progress of work at the ongoing construction of the Council ICT Studio, the Doctor’s Residential Quarter and Offices for healthcare workers, as well as the Cold Chain Facility for the storage of vaccines and other temperature-sensitive clinical instruments, which is also an extension of the Primary Healthcare Centre, all conceived and executed simultaneously by the administration of Hon. Chidi Lloyd, DSSRS, Ph.D, B.L, MCIArb (UK).
